Como narrador ha recibido numerosos premios, entre ellos el Premio Nacional de Cuento Universidad Central del Este 2000, con El efecto dominó; el Premio Nacional de Novela 2005, con Perdidos en Babilonia y el Premio Nacional de Cuento 2005, con Los derrotados huyen a París.
