The 6th Annual Shine The Light March happened last Saturday and was dedicated to Elizabeth Ramona Rodriguez’, who lost her life in a domestic dispute in her Washington Heights home in 2021.
With the help of Council Member Carmen De La Rosa we were able to promote a beautiful street co-naming ceremony and, from now on, every time we pass 167th St & Audubon we will be reminded that our community should not, does not and will not tolerate domestic violence.
Thank you to Manny De Los Santos for being with us in such a special day.Elizabeth’s story will live forever.

La sexta marcha anual de Shine The Light se dedicó a honrar la memoria de Elizabeth Ramona Rodríguez, quien perdió la vida en una disputa doméstica en su casa de Washington Heights en 2021.
Con el apoyo de La Consejal Carmen De La Rosa pudimos promover una hermosa ceremonia co-nombramiento de calle y de ahora en adelante cada vez que pasemos por 167th St y Audubon St se nos recordará que nuestra comunidad no tolera la violencia doméstica.
Gracias al Asambleísta Manny De Los Santos por estar con nosotros en este día tan especial.
La historia de Elizabeth vivirá para siempre.
