Domingo Cruz

Domingo Cruz is an artist and educator who was born in Harlem, raised in Washington Heights, and resides in the South Bronx. For nearly two decades, Cruz has helped the youth and fellow artists realize their potential. He has worked with numerous institutions and community-based organizations in the area including, Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center, The BELL Foundation, Rutgers University, the Department of Education, and ExpandED Schools, and City Lore.

As an artist, Cruz’ work is inspired by New York City and by the culture of the Dominican Republican. He specializes in using sustainable materials to create art pieces and deploys creative methods engage and educate a wide spectrum of audiences.
